Terms and Conditions of Sale and Shipping

The terms and conditions of sale and shipping apply solely to all sales and shipments of products made within Puerto Rico, the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Any order placed with Casa Riel constitutes, as an essential, decisive, and indispensable condition, the customer’s unconditional acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Shipping of casa-riel.com in effect on the date the order is placed.


Payments

Prices are listed in USD (United States Dollar). Casa Riel accepts payments by credit card. In accordance with current law in Puerto Rico, all printed books are exempt from sales tax (IVU). All other items are subject to an 11.5% tax (10.5% state + 1% municipal).

Once an order is completed, an invoice will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.


Shipping

Casa Riel uses shipping services from the United States Postal Service (USPS). Orders are generally shipped within 3 business days after the order is confirmed. The standard shipping option is USPS Media Mail, which can take between 2 and 14 business days to reach its destination. During checkout, Casa Riel allows, at its discretion, the selection of faster shipping options. Once the order is shipped, the customer will receive a tracking number to follow the shipment.


Order Changes

To make any changes to your order before shipping, contact us immediately. Please note that we cannot guarantee any changes, and orders cannot be altered after they have been shipped.


Order Cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately. If the order is canceled before it has been shipped, the customer will not incur any costs. If the order is canceled after shipping, the customer will be responsible for shipping charges and return costs. Special collaboration items are sold as-is, and their sale is final.


Returns

If you wish to return an item, you must contact us. Returns must be requested within 3 business days after receiving the package.

All items must be returned in their original packaging, clean, and in resalable condition. Items that do not meet this criterion will not be refunded. All special products, including collaboration items, are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded. The customer is responsible for covering return shipping costs. Refunds may take up to 10 business days after the returned merchandise is received and inspected. If the return meets the requirements, the customer will be refunded via the same payment method used for the purchase. Shipping fees are non-refundable.


Lost Packages

Casa Riel is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages that have been signed for. The customer will be responsible for the costs of lost or stolen packages.


International

For shipments outside of Puerto Rico and the United States, please contact us for a quote. All international sales are final. Without exceptions. The customer is responsible for paying any import costs, including but not limited to taxes, duties, shipping costs, agent fees, or disbursements at the time of delivery.
