In Cüirtopia: Cuentos puertorriqueños de espacios queer [Cüirtopia: Puerto Rican stories of queer spaces], Regner Ramos documents 28 intimate stories of LGBTQ+ life in Puerto Rico, each grounded in a specific site and told by the people who lived them. Moving readers through seaside coasts, mountainous valleys, and urban enclaves, this limited-edition book reimagines architectural history through queer voices often erased from official records. Each story is an interview, weaving together personal memory and spatial experience, showing how queer communities reshape spaces not designed for them. Through text and ASCII imagery, Cüirtopia resists traditional architectural formats, privileging oral history, narrative, and mapping as tools of spatial justice. It queers the act of documentation, offering an alternative archive of places—some vanished, others transformed where queerness has thrived. Signed and numbered, with only 200 copies available for international sale, this book invites readers to rethink how architecture records lives lived at the margins, blending activism, design, and storytelling into a creative spatial practice.
